This table is this tool’s own convention, not classical doctrine. It is printed on the result page as well, so that any reading built on it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

Palm Sutra · four pillars (達摩一掌經 · 四柱)

The pillar meanings are taken verbatim from this site’s own Palm Sutra tool: the Year pillar speaks of foundation and ancestry, the Month pillar of parents, youth and the roots of work, the Day pillar of self and marriage, the Hour pillar of children and later years. The Month and Day pillars each span two domains and are mapped to both rather than forced into one. At the natal level the Palm Sutra has no mechanism that points at wealth or peers on its own, so it does not take part in those two columns.

Zi Wei Dou Shu · twelve palaces (紫微斗數 · 十二宮)

Life, Fortune and Health speak of the self; Career and Travel of career (Travel being where one goes to make a living); Wealth of money, while Property is both household and real estate and so maps to wealth and family both; Spouse of partnership; Parents of family; Siblings and Friends of peers; Children of the later years. Placing Friends under peers rather than career is this tool’s choice: it is about people on one’s own level.

命宮、福德、疾厄談自身；官祿與遷移談事業（遷移是外出發展的位置）；財帛談財，田宅同時是家宅與不動產，故對到財務與家庭兩欄；夫妻談感情；父母談家庭；兄弟與交友談同輩人際；子女談子女晚年。交友宮歸到同輩而非事業，是本工具的取捨——它談的是同一水平面上的人。

BaZi · ten gods (八字 · 十神)

Direct and Indirect Wealth map to wealth; Direct Officer and Seven Killings to career; Direct and Indirect Resource are both shelter (family) and study (career), so they map to both; Eating God and Hurting Officer to the self’s expression and talent; Companion and Rob Wealth to peers. Eating God and Hurting Officer traditionally also indicate children; this tool still maps them to the self only, because mapping them to both would light up "children and later years" on almost every chart and wash out the difference. That is a choice made to preserve signal, not a denial of the other reading.

正財與偏財談財；正官與七殺談事業；正印與偏印同時是庇蔭（家庭）與學習（學業），故對到家庭與事業兩欄；食神與傷官談自身的表達與才華；比肩與劫財談同輩。食傷在傳統上也主子女，本工具仍只對到自身，因為對到兩欄會讓幾乎每張盤的「子女晚年」都亮起來，反而看不出差別——這是為了保住訊號而做的取捨，不是否認那層讀法。

What the table deliberately does not do

It does not weight the entries, and the tool does not sum them. A domain reached by three systems is reported as "three systems point here, on these grounds" — not as a score. Weighting would require deciding that one palace is worth 1.4 ten gods, which nothing in any of the three traditions supports.
