The Life palace is never read alone: the Wealth and Career palaces (its trine, 三方) and the opposite Travel palace (四正) all "shine into" it and shape the overall pattern. The more benefic stars across these four palaces, the stronger the structure; malefics there warrant care.
Which palaces shine into the Life palace
- 本宮 Home: the Life palace itself.
- 三方 Trine: the Wealth palace and Career palace, four branches away on each side (the 三合 group).
- 四正 Opposition: the Travel palace, directly opposite (對宮).
Read the major stars across these four palaces together: more benefics make a stronger pattern, while malefics or a 化忌 there warrant care. The same trine-and-opposition logic applies to every palace, not only the Life palace.
