Five-grid name numerology (五格剖象, the Kumazaki / 熊崎式 system) analyses a Chinese name by the Kangxi stroke counts of its characters. It derives five grids (Heaven, Personality, Earth, External, Total), maps each to one of 81 numbers (rated auspicious to inauspicious), and reads the Three Talents (三才) from the elements of the three core grids.
